June 18 Pride at Union Collective All Day Event
As part of the Union Collective Pride Day on June 18, 2022, Unmatched Athlete, Movement Hampden, Union Craft Brewing, and the Stoop join the manufacturers at Union Collective for an all-day Pride celebration from 11 am throughout the evening. The day portion invites LGBTQ+ youth to free climbing, corn hole, arts and crafts at the Charmery, and other activities, including a guest appearance from Poe from the Ravens. The theme of the day creates supportive spaces for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ people in leadership positions and in sports. Come meet affirming community partners and sponsors, then shop-and-dine at the collective throughout the day. Buy a drink from Vent Coffee, Union Craft Brewing, Wine Collective, or Baltimore Spirits Co Cocktail Gallery; enjoy a treat from the Charmery or a bite from Well Crafted Kitchen. Wellness nonprofits come together to promote movement in the Black community and equal usage of Baltimore’s green spaces
AFRO American Newspapers | Charm City’s athletic organizations are on a mission to get Black Baltimoreans moving.
Recently, more than 200 residents gathered in Carroll Park for the first annual Cylovia, which took place at the Move Well Fest in Carroll Park. The two events were held together as a joint venture between Black People Ride Bikes (BPRB), Libraries Without Borders US (LWB US) and Pigtown Climbs.
More than 200 free meals were given out, along with information from more than 20 vendors- to include Aetna, Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland, Rails to Trails and Unmatched Athlete.

BALTIMORE, MD - GLSEN Maryland and Unmatched Athlete with the support of Under Armour, are thrilled to announce "Get Active", the 2022 Annual GLSEN Maryland Youth Summit. The free event for high school youth will be held on Saturday, May 28th from 10am to 4pm, at UA House at Fayette (1100 E Fayette St, Baltimore, MD 21202). This year's theme is "Get Active." This event is an opportunity for LGBTQ youth and allies to connect with young leaders across the state of Maryland, with each other, and with local community leaders to network, build relationships, share knowledge, and develop plans for creating change in local communities. This event features keynote speakers and educational workshops.
The Youth Summit is student-focused, leadership and education for LGBTQ2A youth and allies with networking opportunities, sports and fitness. GLSEN Maryland is thrilled to work with Unmatched Athlete and Under Armour's Unified Leadership Team.
Unmatched Athlete Announces Quarterly LGBTQ+ Youth Climbing Days In Partnership With Movement Gyms
BALTIMORE, MD - Unmatched Athlete, a Maryland area non-profit launched in July 2020, announces its series of free LGBTQ+ Youth Climbing Days, to be held twice a quarter, in partnership with each of Maryland’s four Movement Gyms (formerly known as Earth Treks). The first set of free events will be held at Movement Columbia Gym on March 5th from 12pm-5pm for teens age 13-18, and on March 19th from 12pm-5pm for kids ages 5-12 and above. All youth, whether they identify as LGBTQ+ or as allies, are welcome to attend. Parents, family and friends are welcome to attend.

Sports and Transphobia - Transforming Together Podcast
On this episode of Transforming Together, the HopeWorks Podcast, MC Carey (they/them) brings in three guests for a deep dive conversation around sports and transphobia. Joined by the two founders of Unmatched Athlete, Justin Fair & Olanrele Oni, and trans health and sports advocate from Trans Maryland, Jack Mirabella, together they unpack the heavy wave of anti-transgender sports bills that have been hitting state legislatures all over the country as well as the undeniably important work of creating safe space for queer and trans youth to engage in sports. Sports are meant for everyone regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation and no one understands that better than Unmatched Athlete which works to create a safe and inclusive space for queer and trans youth to engage in sports and movement.
