Friends,

As we enter into a new year, I am filled with immense gratitude for each of you—our vibrant community of LGBTQ+ youth, allies, and champions. Your unwavering support and enthusiasm have made 2024 an incredible year for Unmatched Athlete. Whether you joined us on the field, climbed with us at Movement Rockville, or cheered us on at our Pride events, your presence has helped us grow stronger together.

In 2024, we celebrated milestones like walking in the Baltimore City Pride parade, our Unmatched Pride event, and countless other moments that showcased the power of sports to foster inclusion and joy. None of the accomplishments we achieved last year would have been possible without your continued support. This is why we are proud to announce that we raised over $8,000 in individual donations—thank you!

Looking ahead to 2025, I’m thrilled to share a sneak peek at what’s to come:

New Member Portal: In February, we’ll officially roll out our LeagueApps portal! We invite every household and volunteer to sign up to access program updates, event sign-ups, and exclusive perks.

Spring Schedule: Field days and clinics will take place across Baltimore and Columbia, and climbing days will resume.

Youth and Parent Feedback: We want to hear more from you! Expect a concerted effort from us to ask you to complete surveys about your experiences participating in our events; and your thoughts about potential events/activities throughout the year.

I am constantly inspired by the dedication of our partners, volunteers, and community members. Together, we are creating a space where LGBTQ+ youth can thrive and belong, especially given these uncertain times. Thank you for being an unmatched part of this journey. Let’s make 2025 our best year yet!
