Now Hiring: Operations Manager

Unmatched Athlete is a Maryland-based nonprofit that encourages youth who identify as LGBTQ+ and allies, ages 5–18, to participate in sports and fitness. Our aim is for young people in our programs to have fun and apply the skills they gain to everyday life—becoming empowered, confident members of the LGBTQ+ community and beyond.

As a volunteer-run organization, we host monthly weekend pickup games and fitness activities across seven alternating sports, plus one fitness-focused event with support from partners and sponsors. Our most popular sports include climbing and flag football, plus volleyball, soccer, and basketball. We also offer clinics across the year to try new activities such as ultimate frisbee, track, and dance.

We are hiring a part-time Operations Manager to help us stay organized and responsive as we grow. The Operations Manager will support scheduling, communications, and coordination tasks to ensure our programs and partnerships run smoothly. This role reports to and is supported by our Founder, Olanrelé, who currently carries out Executive Director duties.

This is a modest stipend for a support-focused role intended for someone passionate about community organizing, LGBTQ+ youth, or sports access. Ideal for students, freelancers, or community advocates looking for a flexible, meaningful side role.
